Perfect Moment Monday: giggle yoga

Perfect Moment Monday isn’t about creating a perfect moment as much as it is about noticing one. Perfect moments are just waiting to be observed, and can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

So we gather her once a week to engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world, if only for a, well, a moment. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Now, here’s mine.

=========================

Reed looked up at my yoga magnets on the fridge and asked me to do some poses with him.

So we got out two mats and headed for the living room.

I picked several Warrior poses (how did I know?) and he was tickled. It wasn’t long before we were belly-laughing and rolling around on the mats. Have you ever tried to do Corpse Pose with a handsome boy kissing you all over your face? (Don’t answer that.) The session morphed into arm wrestling and thumb wars.

I love my yong grahshoppah.

Now it’s your turn. Bloggers can use Mr Linky and non-bloggers can simply leave a comment. Mr Linky users, leave your post’s permalink (not just your blog’s URL) and remember to also leave a comment.

Be sure to follow some of the other stories/links because as we know, perfect moments can be found in giving and receiving comments. So how about you deliver a couple of Perfect Moment seeds and trust that they’ll grow?

Once you make a Perfect Moment post, you are qualified to place this button on your blog.

  1. I woke up around 3am Saturday morning. Looking at the clock I wanted to scream. Then I noticed something. My little boy had crawled into bed with us sometime during the night was snuggled up against my back with his arm around me. I’ll gladly wake up at 3am again just to feel his love.

  2. I had a perfect moment the other day. I had snapped a bunch of photos of bottles and uploaded them to my flickr site. Within a couple of minutes some flickr user I’d never heard of before sent me an email, asking me to post one of them in her/his(?) flickr group, which consists exclusively of pictures of bottles. I swear I’m not making this up.

  5. Hey, Lori, loved that story about warrior poses. I don’t think I’ve ever done corpse pose, unless that’s just lying down.I left a link to my perfect moment, which was Saturday night.

  6. I left my link to my first “perfect moment” contribution! :) Giggle yoga sounds like the very best kind!!!! I hope to find a moment like that with my son someday. How beautiful and sweet!!!
