Perfect Moment Monday: The calgonification of me

in Perfect Moment

Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

We gather once a week to engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Please visit the links of the participants at the bottom.

Here’s a perfect moment from my week. I hope you’ll share yours, too.

====================================
Just a bath.

Both kids were on playdates. My healthy husband had gone for a run. And I found myself alone in the house on Halloween afternoon.

The housework was done (not all of it, never all of it, but enough to feel deserving of a treat). I gathered a book and a glass of wine, and was limited only by the temperature of the lavender-scented water.

Perfectly indulgent. ‘Cause I’m worth it (pardon the mingled slogans).

====================================
To participate in Perfect Moment Monday:

  1. Between Sunday night and Tuesday night, write up your own Perfect Moment in a blog post, on Twitter, on Facebook, or simply leave a comment below.
  2. Grab the URL of your Perfect Moment.
  3. Use MckLinky below to enter your (or your blog’s) name and the URL of your Perfect Moment
  4. Visit the Perfect Moments of others (from the links below), and let the writers know you were there.

Once you make a Perfect Moment post , you may place this button on your blog.

What Perfect Moment have you recently been aware of? Be sure to visit these moments and share the love, and please come back next week (click to subscribe).

Here’s mine:

The evening before bed time… Sitting on my bed with three of my children… watching the snow fall. We open the window to feel the cold air… and they sing Christmas Carols… in October. That was a perfect moment! Especially since one of the singers was a teenager. How perfectly beautiful to have your boy still be excited about singing Christmas Carols.

Snow’s almost gone. In the 70s today.

I <3 Colorado.

Isn’t it funny how something so simple can feel so decadent .. mostly because we rarely take the time for it. Glad you did.

OOoooohhh. That was by far the best Halloween treat! And to think you had wine left over from the snow storm.. perfect!

I’m with Sunny.. gonna bust out my ducky this week, too.

How perfect…a savoury moment spent in the pursuit of and thought of oneself.

Ahhhh… Calgon. Take me away.

That sounds so wonderful! You’ve inspired me, I’m going to take a bath sometime this week after my son goes to bed.

That is a perfect moment for any day of the week.

The snow is almost gone already?!?! Now THAT is a good snow. Here long enough to enjoy and not so long it gets all nasty and dirty and a nusiance.

A warm bath is the most wonderful thing. Makes me wish we had a bathtub!

Now I have to go get cranking on my novel.

Thanks again for hosting Perfect Moment Monday.

Snow? 70′s? Hmmm . . . might be worth the trade off. We won’t see 70 for at least 5 more months.

The bath sounds WONDERFUL!
