Perfect Moment Monday: Bask

March 22, 2010

in Perfect Moment

Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

Once a week we engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Please visit the links of the participants at the bottom.

Here’s a perfect moment from my week. I hope you’ll share yours, too.

It’s very difficult to pluck just one perfect moment from the past 48 hours, so I’ll choose the one that has a photo to go with it.

Saturday was a magical day. I woke up in Melissa‘s home and drank coffee while hanging out with Josh and the twins. Melissa and I then hit the road for her very special place, Shepherdstown, home of the Little House. We dined, we gabbed, we basked in the day’s perfection.

Shepherdstown is now my very special place, too.

After driving through Harpers Ferry and stopping for water ice with ChickieNob and the Wolvog, I met Lindsay to attend and Ingrid Michaelson concert. It wasn’t just awesome, it was Jauss-ome.

And this morning, Lindsay, Mel and I met Paz, Calliope, and m for brunch. Sitting in the presence of women I’ve longed to meet for so long was absolutely wonderful.

I feel I might burst from the sheer volume of all this perfection.

But I won’t.

To participate in Perfect Moment Monday:

  1. Between Sunday night and Tuesday night, write up your own Perfect Moment in a blog post, on Twitter, on Facebook, or simply leave a comment below.

There is something just so amazingly awesome about meeting bloggy friends in real life – especially ones you have read and followed for so long and to whom you look up to.

Glad you’re having a good time! (I am in love with that little house just from Mel’s pictures! hehe) I’ve never met a blogger in person before but I’ve met “online” friends and it has always been a wonderful experience. (I actually met my husband online) :)
