Adoption Workshop in Denver

September 19, 2013

in Adoption

I’ve been invited by the Family-to-Family Adoption Support Program at Parker Adventist Hospital to lead a workshop on openness in adoption.

It just occurred to me that I should mention that here. I’ve been so focused on putting together the session that I just remembered to give notice to Denver-area readers.

The workshop is tomorrow evening, Friday, September 20, 7 -8:30 pm. Family-to-Family says:

Lori Holden, author of The Open-Hearted Way to Open Adoption: Helping Your Child Grow Up Whole. Hear Lori’s perspective on Open Adoption and how all of us can help our kids grow up whole, regardless of how they came to our families.

I can fill you in further about our itinerary.

agenda for workshop on openness in adoption

This workshop will be helpful to those who are considering adoption as a way to build a family and for people who are currently navigating adoptive parenting, as well as those who work in the field of adoption.  Birth parents and other birth family members are also welcome.

To register, call Ask-A-Nurse TODAY at 303-777-6877

Cost: $15/couple or $7.50/person
Parker Adventist’s Conference Center, 9395 Crown Crest Blvd in Parker

If you can’t attend this event, I’m speaking again at the Denver Library Schlessman branch on Sunday, November 3 at 2 pm.

I am out-of-my-skin excited to begin teaching what many of you have taught me about why and how to stay open-hearted in our adoptions.

NOTE: Your help spreading the word today to any Denver-area connections is appreciated!
