Ahhh, the lazy days of summer are here. The calendar may not say so yet, but the presence of my children in my home office — ALL day, EVERY day, certainly says, “year-round school is an idea whose time has come.”
Consequently, I am less lazy than usual. We drive to piano lessons, play dates, dance lessons, swim lessons, and various playgrounds. With the price of gas, I am actively teaching my post-toddlers to read a bus schedule. Once Tessa and Reed master solo bus riding, I think they’ll be ready to make my evening mojito. (Just kidding, Social Services. Heh, heh. About the mojito, anyway. MUCH too important a task to leave to a child.)
So. I need a few days of easy posts while I get my summer legs and figure out a new routine that affords me writing time.
Get ready, then, for Round 5 of Lori’s Childhood Trivia. If you grew up in the 70s, if you had older siblings who grew up in the 70s and regaled you with tales about the experience, or if you are Melissa the clairvoyant, you may have an easy time of this. If you are none of the above, play along anyway to get yourself properly cultured in the decade that was truly groovy.
This round is a TV show. No googling. Two guesses a day (new limit, down from 3). Come back tomorrow to see if we have a winner or another clue. Ready?
Clue #1: natural disaster
In her most recent review post Chicklet offers mixed thumbs about a fertility book. See her reasons here.
We’d be much obliged if you regular readers would include a link to All Thumbs in an upcoming post. Chicklet will give you a bunch of her spare capital letters and I’ll give you a head start on tomorrow’s trivia clue.
Yeah, we’re Techn.orati slu.ts. We might even make ourselves t-shirts saying so.
