On Facebook a few months back  I cryptically updated about some good news I’d received. But I tend to not believe in the COMING of good luck; I trust only in the ARRIVAL of good luck. So I couldn’t be too specific about what the news was.

But yesterday the proof arrived in the mailbox.

Adoptive Families magazine published a condensed version of my 6-part blog series on my daughter’s reunion with her birth father, Joe. The article will be available online in a few weeks, or you can pick up a copy of the May/June issue at your local bookstore.

This is the first time that the magazine has featured two birth father stories in the same issue. I recommend that you read both articles, as the one adjacent to mine offers insight into the complexities of open adoption, as well.

Speaking of adoption, there are a couple of posts up on the Open Adoption Examiner you might find interesting. One is on Sandra Bullock and the other is about the upcoming cross-triad book tour around LifeGivers, with author participation by Jim Gritter. There is still room and time to sign up.
