Although it’s downright painful to get up freakishly early on a Sunday morning (4 am if you do it right), the payoff on Easter Sunday in my neck of the woods is this:
Then you get to go home and nap. And eat with family. And count your blessings, no matter your religious persuasion.

Catching up…
–Enjoyed reading your Open Adoption interview Q&A. It’s always interesting for me to learn more about adoption, as I really am not familiar with adoption issues.
–Neat that you are re-tweaking your blog a bit.
–AWESOME that you were able to meet Mel and other bloggers in person. Her Show&Tell post about you was indeed a lovely tribute!
And I love the pic of you by the Little House.
–Last but not least, LOVE the Easter sunrise photos. What an amazing view, with an amazing amount of people. Wow!
Oooooh, I think I would even get up freakishly early to see that.
Happy Easter
Getting up early is a pain for me…but from your perspective….it seems to have gone fab for you. Beautiful.
Happy Easter!
Red Rocks is absolutely beautiful!
I missed our early morning trek on Easter morning!
I hope you sang loud enough for the two of us. 🙂
Gorgeous!! 😀 I haven’t done an Easter Sunrise in quite a long time.. Thank you for sharing!!
red rocks. sigh. what a beautiful morning! My easter wasn’t nearly as ambitious. I did the nap and food part minus the sunrise. Thanks so much for sharing!
Gorgeous! Once again reminds me of Sedona Red Rocks in Northern AZ. Awesome.
That is very cool!

so awesome that’s your backyard.
Holy shit–I’ll stop mocking your religion’s lack of sleep thing. That looks gorgeous and I can’t believe how many were there.
Oooh! That looks like it would be an incredible experience! I’ll have to put it on my to-do list! I do hate getting up at 4 am, though…
I hope your Easter was as fantastic as it started!
Glad that you made it and that it was worth getting up early.
OHMYGOSH. Those pictures are absolutely beautiful. I’ve never been but now you’ve inspired me.
I mean, I’m run Red Rocks at dawn multiple times.
And believe me, there is nothing inspiring about that experience.
Beautiful pictures. That must be an amazing experience. We live in a beautiful place!
Oh my gosh! You made it to the sunrise service! I am soooo impressed! I know it’s worth the pay-off, but I just don’t have it in me to get up that early! Good for you – it looks like it was amazing!
That looks like it was definitely worth getting up early for!
