Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.
Here’s a perfect moment from my week. I hope you’ll share yours, too.
====================================
My family hosted a party this weekend sponsored by Games2U.
I was not in my right mind when I scheduled it just days after I returned from New York City. It was a stressful (!) morning getting ready for 35 people coming over to eat and play.
[And dealing with a colony of wasps pre-party. I could digress and explain but (a) I’d just freak out again and (b) you would never want to visit me.]
The payoff of the day, besides hanging out with friends who bring yummy food, was at the very end of the party, when Games2U brought out the Candy Cannon.
Squeals!
Sheer joy. It’s infectious.

Oh they look like they are having a wonderful time!
Sometimes I take candy to work to share. Even took popsicles one hot summer afternoon. I think I’ll be shopping for a Candy Cannon now. Wouldn’t have liven up a slow day?
Forgive me for not following the rules exactly, but my perfect moment occurred yesterday when my husband, 3 year old son, and I took the train from our city to the next one over to have dinner. It was my son’s first ride on this type of train and he’d been looking forward to it all day. Go out to dinner by train? Does it get any better than that for a 3 year old boy? And the perfect moment came, when my son, seated in his own seat in his own row, was looking out the window as we whizzed by the cars and the world in absolute wonder. The look on his face and in his eyes, captured in an instant, by my husband’s iPhone, brought me to tears of joy for his amazement.
Traveling AND eating by train? Awesome.
This is a perfectly acceptable way to document a perfect moment!
I LOVED the video of the kids running to get the candy, screaming and squealing. It sounded like so much fun. What a great party!
