Perfect Moment Monday: Take me out

Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

Once a week we engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Please visit the links of the participants at the bottom.

Here’s a perfect moment from my week. I hope you’ll share yours, too.

====================================

Friday night was date night and we spent it with friends at the Rockies game. It was a beautiful summery late September evening, and I got to spend it with my goofy sunflower-seed-sucking husband.

After the game 50,000 fans were treated to fireworks to close out the last home series of the season. The backdrop of the night sky and the show’s choreography to classic rock songs made the display just perfect. I enjoyed a simple moment of contentment.

Perfect Moment Monday is going on a brief hiatus while I devote energy elsewhere. But just because I won’t be writing up perfect moments in the next week (or so) doesn’t mean you need to stop, too. And even if you don’t WRITE about perfect moments, I do hope you’ll continue NOTICING them. They’re everywhere, really, just waiting to be observed.

  1. Loz, what a beautiful pic of you and your hubby.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve actually joined in the Perfect Moment Monday festivities. But I want you to know, ever since you very first started this series, you have made me notice so many wonderful moments in my life. And I really, truly thank you for that. I’m pretty sure I’ll notice them until I die – I always think, “Oh, THIS is a perfect moment!” And I always, always think of you, over in Colorado, near the Red Rocks.

Thank you, you’ve given me a beautiful gift.

    XOXOXOXOXXOXO

    1. I don’t know if you shot your wad with your trip to NYC/SF, but my DREAM would be for you and I to get up on the stage at Red Rocks.

“HALLLOOO, RED ROCKS!” we’d yell at the empty benches!

And then Bono himself would come from the wings and say, “Eeeeeedz! Lozzzzzza! You move in mysterious ways.”

      Ahhhhhhh…..XOXO

  2. I’ve got great memories of Rockies games – and the hotdogs!

I’ve never participated in Perfect Moments myself, but like Eden, it has helped me take pause and notice so many perfect moments in my life. Thank you for that ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Enjoy your hiatus!
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with fireworks, I love them. Even after the year when 90% if our aerials returned half way to Earth before going off, I still love them. We ran a lot that year.
    Great picture.

  4. Participating in Perfect Moment Monday has invited me to notice the perfection that is everywhere in my life. Thank you for helping me and my family take notice of the Perfect Moments!

Even if you take a hiatus, I’ll still notice Perfect Moment and possibly post them on Mondays…just because they are Perfect and it’s Monday!

I loved the photo of you and Roger on date night! Too fun! Go Rockies!

  5. Did you ever get your gin and tonic delivered? ๐Ÿ™‚ Date night at a ball game sounds like so much fun! And date night itself is always a source of perfect moments. So glad you guys take the time for them. We need to make more of an effort on that front!
