Tessa is in the back seat listening to music on an off-brand MP3 player I gave her years ago. She gets excited at the song that comes on and passes one of the earbuds to her brother, keeping the other in her own ear.
She becomes Olivia Newton-John and Reed turns into John Travolta as they belt out “You’re the One That I Want,” sharing the tune, sharing the earbuds, sharing one harmonious moment.
I get a jolt of happiness.

“Your the one that I want. Ooh! Ooh! Ooh Honey…The one that I need..”
I’ll have the song in my head all day and think of your two sweet “singers!”

Oh I love it! Maybe that’s who they should dress up as for Halloween?
Such a perfect moment!
Sweet! What fun!
Awww! My kids are at the fighting age right now. But they are also best friends. I hope one day they will be singing duets like yours 🙂
Oh, believe me, Gaby. Mine are at the fighting stage now, too. That’s why this moment was so sweet. 🙂
That is so cool, our boys did the same thing just last weekend. We found the ipod in S’s room after 1 year of being MIA.
Thanks so much for the visit and your kiddos will be begging to drive home before ya know it.
Mwah, Martha
One, I love doing that with the Wolvog (we often lie on the floor and listen to the iPod together), but I think I love it even more when the twins are listening together.
Awww . . . that’s awesome!! I love bonding over music. Especially Grease! 🙂
