A post for Denver locals: two upcoming events

I’ve got two opportunities to tell you Denver-area people about — and those of you who have Lear Jets and privileges at metro-Denver airports.

First, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® is coming to town. This year’s show is called Fully Charged and promises an “all-new surge of circus entertainment where megawatts of thrills explode off of the arena floor with breathtaking dare-devilry, superhuman stunts and never-before-seen performances that energize Children of All Ages!

The Circus it in town from September 29 through October 9. See DenverParent.net for a schedule.

DenverParent.net has a 4-ticket giveaway for the September 29 show at 7 pm. Head over to enter — currently your chances are good.

If interested you can read what Ringling Brothers says it does for Elephant preservation.

Rattlesnake (and other more conventional Brazilian foods)

Please join me on Monday, September 26 at Rodizio Grill in LoDo from 7-9 pm for a special deal. $19.99 gets you a special 4-course meal to celebrate Rodizio’s Wild Game Fest’s opening night (the meal is regularly $32.99 without dessert). Wild Game Fest features exotic meats including Rattlesnake Sausage, Kurobuta (Japanese Wild Hog), wild rice and Yak (Himalayan Beef) in addition to Rodizio’s regular delicious menu items (including vegetarian options).

You get to eat in the private dining room with a bunch of bloggers, although I’m not sure how much of a selling point that is  — we may just put the Wild in Wild Game Fest. Or at least the Fest. Who knows who else you might see there?

It’s a Tweetup. If you’re on Twitter, please use the hashtag #RodizioTweetUp and @RodizioGrill on behalf of our host. If you’re not on Twitter and you think I switched to a foreign language in this paragraph, no worries. Just show up hungry and let me tweet a quote from you.

To take advantage of this fantastic price, you simply need to mention either this blog, Write Mind Open Heart or LavLuz, my Twitter handle. Never before have my monikers opened such meaty doors (and probably never will again).

I’ve long loved Brazilian food, and I’m not saying that just because of the accompanying caipirinhas. I’m not sure I’ll actually nibble on the rattlesnake, but the yak is a possibility. I hope to see you there. Will you try the rattlesnake?

Bom apetite!

I am a Feld Family Activator, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending a show and keeping you advised of the latest offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with compliemntary tickets to the show and the opportunity to attend a private Feld pre-Show event.

I, along with other bloggers, will be a guest of Rodizio Grill that night.
