Hi. I’m Lori Holden, mom of two young adults and living in Denver, CO. I’ve been exploring the nuances of adoption for 20+ years, and I’d love to share with you what I’ve learned.
I am the author of three books:
Adoption Unfiltered, co-authored with the brilliant Sara Easterly (adoptee) and the incredible Kelsey Vander Vliet Ranyard (birth mom). Wish me as an adoptive parent, we cover three+ sides of adoption. Our book is the new must-read and must-have on adoption bookshelves.
Along with my sister, Sheri Fisher, I wrote The Root To Rise Yoga Teaching Method. Perhaps not-so-surprisingly, adoptive parenting and yoga have much in common (if you want to know more, just ask me).
Lori, I am writing a new book and wondered if you might be interested/avaialbe/willing to write a short endorsement for it? I could send you a sample that would give you a flavor of it. Thanks, Sherrie
We would love to sell your book in the market at Domestic Adoption Camp but Amazon cannot ship them in time. Would you contact me about this? Thanks, Candy Pruett, co-director DAC
I would like to personally congratulate you as your blog Lavender Luz | Open adoption parenting & mindfulness has been selected by our panelist as one of the Top 100 Adoption Blogs on the web.
I personally give you a high-five and want to thank you for your contribution to this world. This is the most comprehensive list of Top 100 Adoption Blogs on the internet and I’m honored to have you as part of this!
Also, you have the honor of displaying the badge on your blog.
Hi Lori,
I used to get regular emails from Lavendar Luz that shared your blogs. I no longer am. Have you discontinued them? If you are, please add me again. Being an adoptive mom twice, working in adoption for years as a birthparent advocate, and in the past few years as a Domestic Infant Adoption Program Director for Christian Family Adoptions, I am always inspired by your insight. I came to your website today to see your perspective of the future of what open adoption holds, as it seems less and less birthmoms are choosing adoption over parenting. Thank you for your words. Just so you know, we recommend your book, The Open Hearted Way to Open Adoption, to our families often.
I was given your name by a friend of yours, Beth Woods. I am in charge of communication at Hope’s Promise (foster care, adoption and orphan care) and am always looking for great blogs to share on our blog page. I love your blogs and wondered if I could share them on our website. And, of course, I’d give you credit. 🙂

I will do so, Julie, and thanks for sharing those kind words with me. I’m emailing you…
