Perfect Moment Monday: Sunrise

Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

Once a week we engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Everyone is welcome to join. Details on how to participate are at the bottom of this post, complete with bloggy bling.

Please visit the links of the participants at the bottom.

Here’s a perfect moment from my week. I hope you’ll share yours, too.

Although it’s downright painful to get up freakishly early on a Sunday morning (4 am if you do it right), the payoff on Easter Sunday in my neck of the woods is this:

Then you get to go home and nap. And eat with family. And count your blessings, no matter your religious persuasion.

To participate in Perfect Moment Monday:

  1. Between Sunday night and Tuesday night, write up your own Perfect Moment in a blog post, on Twitter, on Facebook, or simply leave a comment below.
  2. Grab the URL of your Perfect Moment.
  3. Use MckLinky below to enter your blog’s name and the URL of your Perfect Moment
  4. Visit the Perfect Moments of others (from the links below), and let the writers know you were there.

Once you make a Perfect Moment post , you may place this button on your blog.

What Perfect Moment have you recently been aware of? Be sure to visit these moments and share the love, and please come back next week (click to subscribe).

  1. Catching up…

–Enjoyed reading your Open Adoption interview Q&A. It’s always interesting for me to learn more about adoption, as I really am not familiar with adoption issues.

–Neat that you are re-tweaking your blog a bit.

–AWESOME that you were able to meet Mel and other bloggers in person. Her Show&Tell post about you was indeed a lovely tribute!
And I love the pic of you by the Little House.

–Last but not least, LOVE the Easter sunrise photos. What an amazing view, with an amazing amount of people. Wow!

  2. Getting up early is a pain for me…but from your perspective….it seems to have gone fab for you. Beautiful.

    Happy Easter!

  3. Red Rocks is absolutely beautiful!

I missed our early morning trek on Easter morning!

I hope you sang loud enough for the two of us. 🙂

  4. red rocks. sigh. what a beautiful morning! My easter wasn’t nearly as ambitious. I did the nap and food part minus the sunrise. Thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Holy shit–I’ll stop mocking your religion’s lack of sleep thing. That looks gorgeous and I can’t believe how many were there.

  6. Oooh! That looks like it would be an incredible experience! I’ll have to put it on my to-do list! I do hate getting up at 4 am, though…

I hope your Easter was as fantastic as it started!

  7. OHMYGOSH. Those pictures are absolutely beautiful. I’ve never been but now you’ve inspired me.

I mean, I’m run Red Rocks at dawn multiple times.

And believe me, there is nothing inspiring about that experience.

  8. Oh my gosh! You made it to the sunrise service! I am soooo impressed! I know it’s worth the pay-off, but I just don’t have it in me to get up that early! Good for you – it looks like it was amazing!
