Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than about creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.
====================================
Last week I went to this place…

…with these girls…
…to see/hear these girls.
I love both songs on this clip. I’ve already perfect momented Perfect World (imagine that). And a passage from Closer to Fine has resonated for me in so many different situations over the last 20 years:
Darkness has a hunger that’s insatiable
And lightness has a call that’s hard to hear
I wrap my fear around me like a blanket
I sailed my ship of safety til I sank it.
Love that. LOVE that.
The picnic/concert was put together by Mary Beth Graff, a long-time friend and amazing portrait artist.

As I tweeted (ha. that terminology still makes me laugh) Sunday night, “As I look around the dinner table tonight, I realize that we are all happy, healthy and here. I want to hold on to this moment forever.”

Often when I need a lift or need to change the direction of my mood or just need to remember that things will get better, I think of the Indigo Girls’
Closer to Fine
“There’s more than one answer to these questions
Pointing me in a crooked line
The less I seek my source for some definitive
(the less I seek my source)
The closer I am to fine”
Ahhhh, my Chautauqua–how I love it. And what a PERFECT girl’s outing it would make!

I felt the tension in my shoulders drain a bit just looking at that second picture. Time out with girl friends is a wonderful thing.
I am incapable of turning on the girls without singing out louder than they are, therefore never actually hearing them sing!
What a perfect moment indeed!!
Oooh, perfect indeed! I LOVE the Indigo Girls. [Every five years or so I look back on my life, and I have a good laugh.]
The Indigo Girls touched me too. I have to start listening to them again.
Oh, how wonderful! I feel more relax just looking at the pictures.

Ah, so jealous! I listen to the Indigo Girls on my iPod almost every day at work…
Sounds like a great time! I saw they were in town. I was a big fan of theirs 20 years ago! It’s a great location for a concert!
