Reed’s Amendment

When I told Reed (who is 6) that I’d blogged about our perfect moment, he grew quite concerned. Our bedtime conversation:

“You shouldn’t have put that on your blog, Mama.”

“Why, Reed?”

Pause.

“Mama, does Michele read your blog?”

Michele is Reed’s birth mother. I wish we had more contact with her.

“No, Honey. I don’t think she does.”

“But if she did, that might hurt her feelings. I don’t want to hurt her feelings. Will you tell everyone that I also love Michele? And that I’m glad she’s my birth mother?”

“Yes, I will. You have a big heart, Reed. I love that about you.”

  3. Hi- I saw you on the blog list on Most Inspiring Blog. Had to check out something called Weebles Wobblog!

  4. Reed is a sweetheart! (And heavily armed most of the time, which is a good combination…) 😉

  5. Wow…that is how to raise em! Well done Lori. Got the shirt and wore it yesterday.

My kids are now obsessed with the body chakras and want to know why our ‘privates’ need a chakra.

Anyone want to tackle that one??

  6. Cara: “Every part of the body gets to have a chakra, both the parts we show and the parts we keep private. There is energy running through every place, and the better it flows, the healthier you are. Loving yourself each moment is the best way to keep your energy wheels turning just right.”

    One possible response!
