  1. Happy blogoversary! What an amazing feat: 9 years! I am so glad you started your space and continued your space and our lives intersected and that you put up with me and that you fill my brain with interesting thoughts.

9 years ago, my hair was brown instead of grey. The kids were toddlers instead of tweens. I didn’t eat cauliflower and I do now.

  2. Nine years! That is amazing! This space has brought so much good into the world. We are all lucky to share your wise, caring words.

  3. Wow! 9 years! Thank you for being here, and for being in the places you’ve been all over the interwebs. 🙂

Nine years ago I was just figuring out motherhood. I had a different job, never imagining I’d be at the place I am now (because I had no thoughts of going elsewhere). We’d just been living in our house for a few years, now we’re on the verge of leaving. My hair was less grey, my hips and thighs weren’t quite so wide. But I had fewer friends in the world, and I had only ever dreamed of blogging.

Here’s to many more years of your words and your wisdom. <3

  4. That better be chocolate cake! Congratulations on 9 years! My life is much the same as 9 years ago, and yet completely different. Same job, same house, same people, but in the interim, so many weird things have happened. Time – it’s crazy!

  5. 9 years! I have been blogging for 9 too, since I started mine right before yours.

Changes: 9 years ago I had no children; now I have three. I blogged about our plans to build our family; now I blog about our plans to retire early and pay off our mortgage. Back then I worked in the hospital full-time as a nurse, now I just work a few days a month from home. I’m kind of liking now better than then, even if I found a couple grey hairs last week.

  6. Happy blogoversary! Congrat’s on staying the course and all you have accomplished. That’s a pretty amazing trajectory.

Let’s see, how has my life changed in the last nine years: 9 years ago we first started trying to have kids, and now we have two; I’ve completely changed careers; and we’ve moved to a completely different city. So, totally different!

  7. Happy 9th blogoversary! Funny, yesterday I happened to drive past a house we lived in (for about 8 months ) back in 2007, and was marveling at how different life was these days. The first three things that come to mind –

~ Like others have said, our three little kidlets are almost all full-fledged adults (16, 18, and 21).

~ We’ve gone from being so poor we could barely pay attention, to being comfortable.

~ In 2007, I wrote my first novel for NaNoWriMo. Now I have 8 (first draft) novels sitting on my hard drive.

Congrats on your perseverance. I hope the next nine years bring you more wonderful things.

  8. Congratulations, & happy blogoversary!! Nine years seems like a very long time — and then I realized it will be nine years for me this fall (eeekkk!). So glad we both started blogs in 2007 & “met!” 🙂

My life has changed a lot just in the past few years. We both lost our jobs, retired, sold our house and bought a condo. We stopped facilitating our support group. Our nephews went from teenagers to young men who are both on the verge of getting married (eeeekkk again). I still have a lot of scrapbooking supplies (although I got rid of a LOT of stuff during the pre-move purge) but I haven’t touched a page in at least seven years (erk). I’ve stopped colouring my hair & made friends with the grey, and gained & relost the same damned five pounds more times than I can count. 😉

  9. Congratulations on nine years! I wish I’d responded earlier. But the idea of telling you how my life had changed in the last nine years was too depressing, so I ran away when I first read this, and rudely didn’t respond. Now though, I’ll try.

A better relationship with my sister.
More confident and secure in myself and my values.
More resilient – though right now I don’t feel very resilient.

    There, I feel better now!
